Here’s an article for all the applicants who are trying to move to Canada and are thinking about how they will know if their Visa has been approved or not. There are three ways to apply for your Visa and know if your Visa is approved or not. 1) Online and 2) through the Visa Application Centre and 3) through Post. Read the following and know the step by step process to know if your Visa is approved or not.

How Do I Know If My Canadian Visa Is Approved?

If you are applying Visa online

When you apply for your Visa online, you can also check the status of your application online. Make sure you have the correct login details of your profile. Go through the official website and login in. Now you can check the status. You will also receive a confirmation email once your Visa will be approved.

If you are applying a Visa Application Centre

Visa Application Centre offers various tracking services that reach out to the applicants and lets them know if their Visa is approved or not. Not only this, but the services provide regular notifications for the various procedures needed to be done.

If you are applying through Post/Courier

If you have applied your visa application through Post, then you need it until your passport comes back to you. Once your passport comes back to you then you can check inside. You will notice an approved stamp. This means that your Visa has been approved and now you can move to Canada. If you don’t see any stamp then there will be another letter that specifies the reason for rejection of your Visa. Nowadays, not many try their hands-on applying for Visa through the Post. But yes, in post services also you can check and track your process.

Reasons for application return:

  • Incomplete information:

If the information is incomplete, then the government will be unsure about the applicant’s background and also think the applicant has filled some misleading information.

  • Missing fees

It is also possible that the applicant has not paid the fees registered in form. Fees are compulsory, and everyone should deeply follow this part.

  • The application received after the program is closed or paused.

Even this is possible that the program has paused or closed when you are trying to apply.

Frequently asked questions regarding the Canadian Visa.

1. How to get the passport back?

There are only two choices to retrieve the passports, that are:

  • Pick your passport in person from the centre of Canada Visa Application. The authorized representative will provide you with your passport.
  • Request the passport return service through the Post and add your pin code in it.

Also, make sure that you know that service charges are extra added to the above services a person asks for. The post charges are separate; similarly, the services charges are also charged separately.

NOTE: All the extra charges are applied according to the Passport Transmission Services.

2. What documents are needed to get the passport back?

As there are two ways to get the passport back, you need to segregate the documents in two ways also. Thus the following are the required documents at the centre when your passport is ready.

Collecting decision envelope in person:

  • Show a copy of invoice receipt to the representative
  • A government-issued photo identification

Collecting decision envelope through Post:

There are no such documents that are needed to collect the envelope through Post. All you can do is track the status on the courier partner’s website using your airway bill. The centre will do a maximum of three trials while returning the passport within 7 days. If you still don’t get the passport due to a wrong address or not present at home, etc. then the passport will be immediately sent back to the center. When your passport returns back to the centre, you need to go in person to the centre and collect the passport.
